Working at Microsoft

I’ve been quiet now for a while. Part of the reason is that I have taken a new job. I am now an Enterprise Strategy Consultant for Microsoft Corporation. I didn’t start blogging about it because my former employer had very strict and limiting policies for posting on social media. So, I was a little shy until I knew what Microsoft’s policy was. Well, I am happy to say that our policy is night and day different from where I came. Microsoft employees are not only allowed, but encouraged to use social media to put out messages and express one’s self.

So I have to tell you, working for Microsoft is amazing. There are reasons that Microsoft was named the world’s best place of employment! Open-mouthed smile

The amount of resources (intellectual property) available to me to create solutions for our customers is overwhelming. And though it is very competitive, everyone that I have interacted with has been very team oriented and helpful.

While I can’t deny I miss many of the people at my former place of work, the atmosphere that Microsoft has is really what I need. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and hope that I can prove my worth here shortly.

Expect to see more blogs on this subject and all things Microsoft in the near future.
